Zero-Mail is a self-hosted application that automatically triages your Gmail inbox. It connects to your Gmail account with your permission, reads your incoming email to classify each message, keeps the messages that matter in your inbox, archives the rest, and emails you one calm summary — a “Brief” — for each group of accounts. Zero-Mail requests access to your Gmail data solely to read and organize your mail for this triage; it is not used for any other purpose.
How Zero-Mail uses your Google account data
Zero-Mail requests a single Gmail permission — read and modify your messages — and uses it only for the three steps below. It does not read data it is not shown, and it shares your email with no one except the AI classification step named in the privacy policy.

Reads your incoming email — Zero-Mail reads new messages so it can classify each one (for example: needs action, newsletter, promotion, spam). This is why it requests read access to your Gmail.

Organizes your inbox — based on that classification, Zero-Mail keeps important messages in your inbox and archives the rest. This is why it requests permission to modify your Gmail. It never deletes your mail.

Sends you a Brief — Zero-Mail emails you a short summary of what arrived and how it was sorted, with a one-click way to correct any decision.

With your permission, Zero-Mail fetches messages that arrived since its last run — just the new ones, nothing retroactive.

A single readable digest per group lands in your inbox: what came in, what it did, and a one-click way to fix anything it got wrong.

One glance replaces fifty.
Instead of scanning a wall of unread mail, you read a short Brief that already made the calls. Every decision is reversible — correct one and Zero-Mail learns the rule for next time.
Your data
It runs on your server. It stays on your server.
Zero-Mail is self-hosted software, not a service you hand your mail to. There is no company inbox in the middle.
Stored locally
Your access tokens and the metadata Zero-Mail keeps live in a database on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded to us — there is no “us.”
Minimal access
It reads and organizes your mail to do the triage. It never sells, shares, or trains on your data — and you can revoke its access in your Google account at any moment.
One AI step, named
To classify a message, its text is sent to Anthropic’s API and returned. That is the only third party in the loop, and it’s spelled out in full in the policy.
